Supporting the return to jury trials
To enable the return of in-person jury trials, social distancing can be maintained either by using Cynap systems to stream on-screen content within a room or to additional rooms such as a jury room, or streaming material directly to iPad or other devices.
Often, a defendant does not need to appear in-person, but can attend remotely from home or prison, whilst still benefiting from a fair and consistent courtroom experience.
Adapting to the present, innovating for the future
Hearings, arraignments, and trials have in many cases, already been adapted to enable social distancing, and where appropriate, remote court attendance via wireless conference.
